Sure, you’ve played through Sonic 2 a million times but did you know that you can make Sonic go Super Saiyan like Goku? That’s right, with assistance of an iconic game code, you can unlock one of the coolest and most fun easter eggs in Sega Genesis history.

As we all know, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was a groundbreaking game. From the music, to the graphics to the mind-blowing speed of the game, at the time of release, it was a technical tour-de-force and one of the most fun gaming experiences on the 16 Bit platform

I have played through this game so many times but one of the best memories I’ve had with it was when a friend hipped me to this secret code that unlocked the coolest version of Sonic yet.

After some fiddling around with the sound menu in the game, you have to test the sound channels in the settings to a certain order, you will unlock one of the cooles in game ester eggs ever.

After inputting the code, you get a nice little ring chime sound, letting you know that the deed is done. The game then restarts as normal and you’re off on you adventure. This time, after collecting 50 rings, Sonic is transformed with very Dragonball Z-esque hop into the air and color change into gold. His hair even get’s longer and bouncier like Goku going to a dancehall party.

You can now fly for brief periods of time and you’re essentially invincible. Try out this fun cheat code today and breath some new life into an old classic now.
